Addiction

It should come with no surprise that our culture struggles with addiction. We are ruthless consumers and what used to be companies simply wanting us to buy their products has become companies trying to get us to the point where we can’t live without their products. We are taking in things perhaps even faster than we can process. And then, of course, substance abuse continues to rise as well as the mental health issues that accompany that rise. However, none of us are alone in this.
In the last message of “Beats and Battles,” Michael talks about how we can relate to David in these sorts of troubles. David recognizes he needs God’s help and can’t struggle with these things by ourselves. No matter how deep our addictions go and no matter what those addictions are, we never face them alone.
