Anger

It doesn’t take much to notice that people are getting, generally, angrier nowadays. I’m sure you can relate in some way or another! Anger can be tricky. In and of itself, it is there for a reason and is a God-given emotion. But left unchecked, it can consume you. Once again, if there is anyone who understands this, it’s King David. He was involved in war, betrayal, and loss of loved ones and it overwhelmed him with anger. And yet he writes: “Be still in the presence of the Lord.”
There is a certain freedom that comes when we approach God with authenticity in the midst of our anger. Pastor Michael highlights that in this message as he encourages us that what, or better yet, who we turn toward also determines what we are turning away from. God is there for us in all of our emotional states, including anger.
