Music affects us and moves us in a very unique way. King David among others who penned some of the Psalms we have today, were just like the rest of us on an emotional level. That is, they were all over the place! But one of those places that we often find ourselves is in a state of depression. Although depression is certainly a spectrum of different degrees and symptoms, it is no doubt something that plagues a large amount of people on a daily basis. Add a pandemic to that, and it gets amplified considerably. Michael Hinton dives into Psalm 38 with this in mind, and walks through how we can, alongside King David, call out to God who has the ability to not only hear our deepest, darkest thoughts, but identifies with them and walks with us through them.
