Jesus Is FOR Everyone

On the day of Pentecost in Acts 2 is where we get the first recorded public message of the Apostle Peter, one of Jesus’ closest students. He delivers a fantastic message and drives it home by proclaiming that “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Likewise, the Apostle Paul says something similar in Romans that “the gospel... is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.” It goes on and on stating that God’s heart and God’s house is for everyone. Because of this, there is a lot of obstacles and resistance from the darker parts of our culture and our faith.
When the early leaders of the church proclaimed that it is for everyone, they were echoing their Teacher, Jesus. Jesus lived and died for such a message. It often got him in trouble but is also impacted the world like had never been done. Today, we live in this legacy and continue this story in our own communities. Jesus is for everyone, and so are we.
