Forgiveness
Rusty George | August 8, 2021
Scripture is pretty clear that sin can have a ripple effect not just through the present, but for future generations, too. Our families of origin can have both a positive and negative effect on us and when it is negative, it can severely traumatize us.
When there is sin and dysfunction in a family it can affect the children and the children of those children. But, these patterns can be broken and they certainly don’t have to be repeated. The first step of healing these scars we wear is forgiveness. That’s a strong word, and perhaps a hard one to comprehend for many people.
So, Rusty tells some stories, shares some examples, and of course, dives into scripture to reinforce how forgiveness can set us free from our past, and the past we have inherited.
