What Does True Joy Feel Like?

God’s presence and approval are all we need for everlasting joy. In this message, Kevin Finkbiner invites us to explore the difference between joy and happiness. Joy is consistent and eternal while happiness is situational and external. In God’s presence we are grounded in joy, but apart from God’s presence, the best we can hope for is temporary happiness based on external circumstances. Kevin uses the story in the midst of the Israelite exodus from Egypt to show how this “counterfeit” happiness of the gospel robs us of the true joy of the gospel and distracts us from full life in God.
